I make quilts and burp cloths (spoegdoeke) for babies on order. Items can be personalised to match your decor orhave baby's name embroidered/appliquedon, etc. Patchwork can becombined with machineembroidery or applique!

Spoegdoeke:R100 per spoegdoek.Made from a double layer of towelling,shaped for an easyfit over your shoulder and bound with either pink/blue binding and decorated with machine embroidery. For the embroidery I offer a choice of a picture to suit your decor and baby's name OR a funny quote, e.g. Spit happens!
Baby Quilts: Prices are determined by techniques used, but start from R800 per quilt. Quilts can be traditional (simple patchwork in 3 colours); applique pictures or machine embroidery combined with patchwork. Contact me for a quotation, but please indicate the theme you prefer to enable me to think creatively and give a quote!
Personalised Baby items such as: towels, face cloths, changing pad covers, bibs, etc.

I also offer the following kit for baby at R1000-00:
Quillow of 1.2m sq - this is a quilt made of tradisional patchwork which folds into a nifty pillow! As baby grows into a toddler, s/he will still use it to snuggle up on cold winter nights with a warm pocket for cold feet (the pillow opening)! A quillow is a very useful item as it travels with you and can be used for baby to play on, sleep on/under, etc. When not in use, you simply fold it into the pocket holder and put it away! The quilt top can be personalised with applique/machine embroidery at an additional cost.
Spoegdoeke (burp cloths): the kit also contains 2 of these handy items
Choice of either 3 embroidered faceclots (Hands/Bums/Cheeks) OR a personalised bib with baby's name embroidered on it and made from a double layer of towelling with bound edging.
Delivery within 6 weeks of order and payment of a 50% deposit. Remainder of payment due on delivery/postage of item.
